Only 7 weeks away to #ShepparCon2017 we are getting very excited as everything starts to ramp up!
Unfortunately, we have had to have a last minute venue change. Our venue has changed from the Park Lake to The Overlander, Hotel at 97 Benalla Rd, Shepparton (see map below).
As with organising any large event like ShepparCon, you always expect a road bump to pop up here or there, ours has come in the form of a double booking.
Last week we received a phone call from the Park Lake to inform us that, although we booked way back in November 2016, they have managed to double book the Sunday of our event and that we came second in line.
From there we have scrambled to find another available venue suitable for a convention of such epic proportions as ours. After much searching and deliberation we selected The Overlander as the best on offer.
The Overlander has plenty of parking out the back and we have direct access to our function room from there. Disabled access is available but no disabled toilets on site. They also have a great selection of food on offer for lunch and dinner if you wish to dine in. If their selection is not to your liking there is a food court across the road at the Marketplace and a café in the Gourmet Food Market next door. Please keep in mind that no outside food is permitted in the venue (snacks are allowed).
We hope this doesn’t put anyone out. If you have already got a ticket are no longer able to attend due to the venue change, we will happily refund your ticket if you send an email to us at gvgamersguild@gmail.com.
